#131 Requesting exception to FESCo Nomination Time Limit
Closed Opened by maxamillion.

Hello all,

I was on PTO on a family trip to the Colorado mountains without connectivity during the FESCo nomination cycle so I was unable to add myself to the FESCo nominations list. I have expressed interest in running for FESCo again in the past and was hoping that the members of Fedora Council would be willing to grant an exception.

I am filing this ticket based on feedback from @jkurik on irc as there is no formal process to allow any late entries into the nomination pool.

Thank you,
-AdamM

I support adding Adam to the candidate pool. He had clearly extenuating circumstances.

I am +1 to add @maxamillion on the list of nominees.

As an Election Coordinator, I need some time line to close this ticket before we start with voting. As such, I will apply lazy consensus, waiting till Thursday, 2017-Aug-03 23:59:59 UTC. In case there will be no "-1" to this proposal I will add @maxamillion on the list of FESCo nominees.

Same opinion here, so +1

Closing and considering as approved.

Just wondering, according to
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Engineering_Steering_Committee
and
https://fedoraproject.org/w/index.php?title=Development/SteeringCommittee/Nominations

@maxamillion has already a seat on FESCo that is not up for election currently.

Looks like you are right @till I just saw this https://admin.fedoraproject.org/voting/results/fesco-january-2017

Thanks @till for the report. You are right. @maxamillion already has a seat which is valid till end of the F27 period. I am going to cancel the voting now and I will ask community to vote again in the upcoming week.

My apologies, I was told that my seat was up during a meeting and I didn't even think to double check.
