#154 Limitation in the number of possible Javascript Shield exceptions
Closed: Duplicate by polcak. Opened by odenoma70.

Summary

I can't add additional exceptions to Javascript Shield:
1. open the popup on a given site
2. turn OFF Javascript Shield
3. Reload the page
4. Javascript Shield is still ON.

This does not seem to be site-specific as I tried with various ones with same result.

Interestingly, if I go to JShelter preferences panel => "JS Shield Details" section and remove ONE of the saved exceptions, then I am able to save a new one following the process detailed above. But only ONE.
That suggest there is a limit in the number of exceptions that can be saved. Currently, I have 233 exceptions saved for JS Shield.
I have much less saved exceptions for Network Boundary Shield and Fingerprint Detector, and for those, I can still save new ones via JShelter pop-up.

I guess this is a bug?

Setup

Pages affected: all pages
JShelter Version: 0.20.1
OS: Linux Mint 21
Browser: Librewolf 137.0.2-1 (Firefox-based)
Other extensions that might affect JShelter behaviour: same result with all other extensions disabled

Hello, Thank you for reaching us. We already know about the issue, see #145. Thanks for reporting the estimated (it can vary based on the content of the configuration) number of exceptions.

For now, see the workaround section of #145.
