I notice in Xfce the usual directories (~/Downloads, ~/Videos etc) we're used to seeing are not created, and also the command to create them "xdg-user-dirs-update --force" doesn't work because the xdg-user-dirs package isn't installed by default. It's an easy fix if you know what to do but it will keep some people guessing for a while. Not sure if this was deliberate or an oversight. Might be good to include this in the future?
It was not deliberate. We did try to keep XFCE as slim as possible, trying to make it our smallest graphical Live image. But it looks like we trimmed too far. Thank you for reporting this, we'll get this fixed.

This has been fixed by adding xdg-user-dirs to the XFCE-Live image. A new image has been built and tested. CentOS-Stream-Image-XFCE-Live-9-202407261002
It should show up in the usual directories in a few hours.
