#11 systemd should obsolete and replace systemd-extras
Opened by dcavalca. Modified

This came up in today's SIG meeting, @ngompa pointed out that https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/systemd-extras/blob/epel8/f/systemd-extras.spec is now a thing in EPEL that provides systemd-networkd, so we should make sure our packaging obsoletes that so it can get clearly replaced on upgrades if it happens to be installed.

cc @anitazha, something to keep in mind for the next release

I still can't make PRs on git.centos.org/ so here's the branch with the changes to accomodate systemd-extras: https://git.centos.org/fork/daandemeyer/rpms/systemd/c/cc8d14d6c180a5ec60da269490d578c64b8c8e77?branch=extras.

Is it sufficient to test this by taking a centos stream 8/9 installation with systemd-extras installed and installing our systemd rpm on top of it?

@daandemeyer I think we can close this one now?
