Let's aim for July 8.
Needs to be in hand at conference in Krakow by August 1.
If you can, please provide us with example photos of items that are similar to the result you're looking for
Flock Rochester Shirt: https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/369
Flock Prague Shirt: https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/330
Printer contact information if available
We will probably use the same printer as the Prague shirt, so we may need Jiri Eischmann's help in contacting / interacting with printer. Here is the printer's website:

Guessing 11" x 8" is a reasonable area to work within for the front impression.
None.
For posterity, here is the list of ideas Brian and Dominika gave us:
1) the symbol of Kraków is the Wawel dragon
2) Wawel Castle is a significant landmark
3) the Kościół Mariacki on the main square is distinctive because it features a pair of towers of uneven height.
4) There is also a significant, for this region, pattern used for decorating tablecloths and clothes that features peacock feathers. For reference please google "strój krakowski." Our hotel's exterior has this pattern.
Hey, so here are the two concepts I've been playing with, trying to incorporate various of the ideas from Brian and Dominika. Thoughts so far about which one would be best to consider pursuing?
Concept #1 (w/ two color variations) [[Image(flock shirt_ design #1_ basic colors.png)]] [[Image(flock shirt_design #1_ complex colors.png)]]
Concept #2 (w/ two color variations) [[Image(flock shirt_ design #2_attempt 1.png)]] [[Image(flock shirt_ design #2_attempt 2.png)]]

Here's a variation that is mostly based off of the first design, but I've added some more artistic elements in order incorporate the Polish floral/ lace-like pattern mentioned [[Image(flock shirt_ design #1.5_ basic colors.png)]]

just a side note, can you go for a not full colored bg. Comparing Prague with Rochester, the fully colored bg makes it not so sustainable, so you have not long fun with it. So work with the color of the shirt instead of make it fully printed
Replying to [comment:6 gnokii]: so do you mean, for example, removing a color from somewhere in the interior and instead have that area transparent and play off the color of the shirt in its place? something like that?
Hi gnokii, do you mean that if this was a darker shirt, the white areas of ink would be large and subject to cracking over time?
In that case, it might be worth inverting the design a bit, swapping the large white area with blue and making the blue flowers/elements white.... do you think that's doable Mary?

sorry for the bad quality have my cam in the office. Hope its a bit to see, the grey strokes are cracks. I think I can wear it 3 or 4 times more then the rubber comes off. If you use the entire area for rubber it cracks faster, thats the point
Ugh, okay. Sorry about that lol, I designed that one :) I wanted it for a white T but nobody likes white Ts anymore.
Anyway Mary is working on making more of the design part of the shirt so that there isn't so much ink like there was on the Prague shirt, thanks for the idea!
here's some rough mockups of the shirt on both dark blue and on heather grey (this one looks pretty strange at the moment since I didn't know how else to bring the "heathered" look into Inkscape other than a web photo!). for the sake of time, i'm just attaching PNGs but SVGs can be posted if needed :) there's two variations of each color, one withe sponsors on the back and one with the sponsors on the sleeve [[Image(flock2016_shirt mockup_dark blue_sponsors on back.png)]] [[Image(flock2016_shirt mockup_dark blue_sponsors on sleeve.png)]] [[Image(flock2016_shirtmockup_grey_sponsors on back.png)]] [[Image(flock2016_shirt mockup_grey_sponsors on sleeve.png)]]

Here's some nitty gritty adjustments pointed out in the meeting today:
i made all of the dark blue color transparent and reworked some the colors (too much negative white space, etc.), gave a little bit more room to the flowers on the bottom, removed the blackoutline, as well as some other minor changes. now, when the design is placed over a background, or in this case fabric, the color of the background will show through! *note: the Wawel castle has been removed because i am going to redraw the castle based on a more accurate picture of the castle (Bex's request). this part will be updated soon. Design on blue background [[Image(flock shirt_ dark blue transparency_background.png)]] Design on heather grey background [[Image(flock shirt_transparency_ heather grey.png)]] Design transparency [[Image(flock shirt_ dark blue transparency_no background.png)]]

Could you please post the SVG for the latest design so that we can use elements of it for the signage (https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/454)?
Sure, here you go: [[Image(flock shirt 2016_FINAL.svg)]]

I think this looks great, except maybe move sponsors off the sleeve? If I'm not mistaken, sleeve printing is more expensive by a few dollars per shirt. We should try to go for the less expensive option. Also we may wind up with more sponsors by mid next week.

Sure! No problem, here's an iteration with the sponsors moved [[Image(flock2016_shirt mockup_FINAL_sponsors on back.png)]]
Looks great. I've sent the image to Dominika as well as she doesn't look at trac.
Could we add the conference name to the back up the shirt so people seeing that know what was sponsored?
Per Dominika: "Super Cool" "I Love It"
WRT Ladies T's - did we do them in Prague? If so/not can we get exact measurements on the shirts? Dominika was at an event in Brno recently and the Ladies T's were all cut for extraordinarily small women. The Large was unable to fit some women. I'd hate to see that happen to us.
Replying to [comment:18 maryshak1996]:
Love the front! One little comment considering the back: on the dark blue T-shirt Red Hat logo should be white.
[[Image(https://redhatbrand.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/rh_shadowman_reverse_color_bkg1.png?w=640)]]
And can we keep the outline of the Fedora logo itself?
Replying to [comment:19 bex]: Hey Bex, sure, I'll go ahead and add the conference name to the back and resubmit

Replying to [comment:22 mleonova]: Hey, ya good point about the color of the logo, I'll be sure to change that too. with the fedora, I could include a white outline so that the style is somewhat similar to the rest of the style?

Ok, here's a mock up on the shirt with that feedback applied. I've also attached a document called flock 2016 shirt_all designs that has all of the elements of the shirt (front and back) compiled into one place [[Image(flock2016_shirt mockup_FINAL_sponsors on back_revised.png)]]

PDFs for print are up and ready!
I just sent these over to Eliska to give to the vendor. Will comment back here if we need any changes / updates. Fabulous work!

final back logos (corrected suse logo from trace to official, re-exporting for vendor) back_logos(1).sla
final back logos file - corrected suse logo back_logos(1).pdf
The vendor has these files now.... there was one volley of back and forth with them - they thought the back of the shirt file was corrupted, and the SUSE logo was the wrong one (trace instead of official) so I updated above and sent to them. There was confusion over the color codes too so Eliska sent them the Pantone #'s again. Hopefully they won't volley back again but if they do I'll update here.
