Hello,

Based in this discussion in the ruby-sig mailing list [1], we want to start the process for the 'Ruby SIG member' badge.

It would be a badge for members of the ruby-sig FAS group, just like the python, kde, etc ones [2]

PS: I could not find a guide to open this ticket since we moved to pagure, so I followed the example of the FLISOL badge request.

@athoscr I can definitely do that! Do you know where I could find the raw files to do that? @duffy @mleonova maybe you guys might have SVGs of the ruby logo?

Not sure why the SVG looks blank, but if opened in Inkscape it looks like the PNG

I like the design. But here are few random remarks:

  • Other SIGs seems to have knight in the logo. We don't. I don't think we need the knight, just wondering :)
  • What is the purpose of the chest? Shouldn't it be smaller and the ruby gem bigger?
  • The sword looks to be flying in space. Shouldn't it be stick in the chest?
  • And I should point out that this is the license of Ruby logo [1] if you want to use it.

@vondruch thanks for the feedback! Here's an update that incorporated the knight and makes the Ruby a bit more pronounced

Hi @maryshak1996 ! Marie and I reviewed you badge design at the meeting today, and although it's pretty cool and we appreciate the creative effort, we'd love to keep them all consistent. There are just too many already, so we'd love all sig member badges to be the same-ish, like so:
