Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): - Your project thanks you. You voted in the Council Elections.
Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities:
1) What are those activities? - Voting in Council Election.
2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?) - any contributors
3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?) - To appointment the leaders of the Fedora project.
4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?) - Twice a year
5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?) - https://admin.fedoraproject.org/voting/
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts? - Vote being cast into ballot box by panda
It could also include voting in FESCo and Mindshare Committee elections too. These could also be series based on voting in X number of elections, either aggregated across the various elections or not. Thoughts?

Thank you, churchyard! I could swear we had something for voting, but couldn't find it. I'll re-attach the file just in case:
msuchy did some great work there!
Ah, no worries, I tried to find it in the badges, but I didn't search for voting. I did search 'election' and 'council' and didn't find anything specific to the current elections that are going on. Just the various wallpaper series of badges.
I can also see that the other badge ticket is still open and elections haven't been completed. Initially it was suggested for separate tickets to be created, so should the older one be closed in place of this one? References between that could then be updated.
Hi there! @mleonova and I reviewed this badge in our meeting today. We would like to pose the question - should this be a one time and done badge, or do we want a new badge for every election? We could add a year onto it?
Also, issue 45 has some other good ideas on it - since it's been open for 4 years anyways I think we should leave it open for the time being or until someone has a chance to make tickets for each of those ideas.
I've been looking at this some. The voting platform needs to have support for awarding a badge (which should be a relatively small change). What I'd like to see is a badge per election cycle. In other words, for the upcoming elections, you'd get the "I voted! (F29)" badge so long as you voted in at least one of the Council, FESCo, or Mindshare elections.
@churchyard @mleonova @bcotton @willo we reviewed this ticket in the Fedora Badges design meeting this morning. We think @bcotton idea to make a badge per election cycle is great! We have this other election badge series going as well: https://pagure.io/fedora-badges/issue/626 Our thought was, the artwork on ticket 626 could be for just overall voting stats, and this one can be for voting in a specific election cycle. I think both together would be a great incentive to keep people participating in elections regularly. Our idea for artwork is a panda with an "I voted!" sticker and the release number fit in there as well. Thoughts?
I'll admit I'm pretty indifferent on the idea of cumulative vote badges, but I definitely won't object if folks want to pursue it.

I think that's an awesome idea.
I think we should close this in preference to #626
Agreed.
Closing!
