#687 So You Ran
Closed: fixed by t0xic0der. Opened by bcotton.

Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"):

You ran for a seat on an elected Fedora body.

1) What are those activities?

Be a candidate for a seat on Council, FESCo, or Mindshare. The badge would be awarded once, no matter how many times the person was a candidate.

2) Who is doing them?

Any contributor.

3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?)

For fame and glory. Or to help lead the Fedora project, either way.

4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?)

No more than twice a year.

5) How do they do them?

By being listed as a candidate in the elections application (which does emit fedmsg messages, although it's probably just as easy to have the FPgM manually award the badges to candidates)

Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts?

The suggested title comes from a song of the same name by an obscure 80's rock band. There's probably not much inspiration there, but I'm just sharing the love by including a link.

One idea would be to have a panda standing behind a podium making a campaign speech.

I should note that I don't expect this to be available for the upcoming election cycle, but I do plan on retroactively rewarding it to candidates of previous elections whenever it becomes available.

@duffy @bcotton Hey! Do we need something like this? Let me know if you had something else in mind! Happy to help :D
Also, I wasn't sure what category the badge came under (for the outer ring color), let me know if this is right or not!

@tanvi I love it! I'd suggest putting the badge in the "Community" category since that's where the voting badges are, but if there's a better fit, that's okay with me.

@tanvi thanks for your work! I made a few quick changes to improve the design overall- thoughts?
