@booky
- It looks like you have made some changes to the badge template. Start with a new template and import the art in to make sure its correct for the next version.
- I would recommend adding some element to the background, like the rays or wavey background used in other badges
- I think the pose of the badger is nice, and the cape to denote hero, though I would reduce the size to give some space around the badger and the edges of the artwork area
- The medal you are using is very small and hard to make out. Also, we try to avoid using the fedora logo if possible. It is also the old fedora logo not the new one. I would omit any logos from this badge
- I would suggest making a generic medal, or sash, or something of that nature to replace that

- I see you have taken the art from a previous badge design, but it is looking kind of funny without the context. Try adjusting the design somehow to help it make more sense
- Make sure to use the comfortaa typeface for badge designs, tho I am not sure we need text for this badge. You can explore it if you want, but I would shorten the text - maybe to "Thank you!"
- Lighten the background color
- The sword is just kind of hanging out there, I think you can remove it or do something different with it
- The art is going outside the edges of the badge area, make sure to keep it inside or use the clip tool to crop

- The two pandas you have inside of the medal are too small to make out. I would remove those and focus on making the medal look good. Right now it is in the middle of the shirt like it is printed on the teeshirt, maybe try moving it to the right or left on the panda so it looks like a medal instead
- The shirt is nice, but I think the stroke is black. I would change that to be a fedora blue in a darker shade. I would also recommend adjusting the vectors to look more natural, for example, the bottom of the tshirt is perfect straight, when it should have a small curve
- The gradient on the panda hand is not matching up to the stroke, adjust it to match'
- I am now looking at the second design you uploaded, missed that at first! The same thing applies to the medal.. I don't mind with or without the tee shirt, feel free to move forward with either

Hi @falyne
- It looks like you have taken previous art, which is good, but they all look skewed somehow. Can you remake these ideas without the skewing?
- Make sure to add in some background elements. The yellow ray combo is not great, I know that is from a current design, but we are going to update that art.

- Make sure you are using the badge template, your exported file should be 256x256 pixels
- The two medal elements you are using are very hard to read because they are small. I don't think we need to use the fedora logo in this design, and its the old one anyway. Maybe try making a simpler medal or badge to add on
- I think the hat is looking very "news boys" or even "police" so I think we should remove that for this design, tho I think the suit is ok

I have modified both the designs, with t-shirt and without, and modified the badge to contain a heart instead of the 2 pandas, thus withholding my idea of empathy :)

Great work, everyone! Here is some feedback:

@booky:
- I think the size of the badger is good now. Make sure that it is centred on the badge, which I don't think it is right now.
- We can simplify the medal even more because the tiny details are often missed. How about just a big, shiny circle for the medal without the decorations? Not sure what the 'K' signifies here; could you help me out with that?
- We can make the ribbon of the medal a bright colour because the current one is too close to the badger's colours. The opacity of the ribbon seems wonky. Also, move the ribbon behind the medal because we have some ends showing up on the medal.
- Let's also try a brightly coloured cape!

@chhavijindal:
- I like the heart. I think it's very cute!
- Try simplifying the badge on the badger. I think we can do without the frilly borders, as the badge is too small for them to be legible. We can also try converting it into a medal!
- I'm not sure if the ground art adds anything to the badge. What was the intention behind that? If it was purely for aesthetic purposes, we could try removing it to add some breathing space for the badger art.

@falyne:
- The artworks you used still seem skewed. Make sure to resize them properly. Also, not sure if the sword fits the context of the badge. The art shouldn't be too close to the borders.
- Also, it seems that you have modified the badge template. Start with a new template and import the art in to ensure it is correct for the next version.

- I don't think that your designs fit the context of the badge. I'd suggest re-reading the description of the issue to familiarise yourself with the context.
- We avoid using the fedora logo if possible. It is also the old fedora logo, not the new one. I would omit any logos from this badge.
- What is the idea behind the Panda key? Right now, it seems as if the badger is holding up a panda head lol

- I think the artwork is too big right now. Reduce the size for some breathing space.
- The pandas seem a bit funny without the ledge. Maybe try modifying the designs to avoid that. You can either modify the positions/pose of the panda or try out a different idea

@mattdm what are you thinking as far as a process to award this badge? Would it be a wiki page where we gather nominations? Maybe we should consider this and additional mentorship related badges with the context of the newest Fedora strategy piece: everyone has a mentor and is a mentor

Who should have rights to assign it? My thought would be you, @jflory7, @bcotton, and @smeragoel (Fedora leadership & Mentored Projects rep to Mindshare)

I like gating this as a special badge, in the same way that the Blessing of the FPL and It's a Cake Thing badges work. We don't have a good way of automatically checking off whether someone is doing good mentoring, and I think it is better to make it an ad-hoc badge awarded on a case-by-case basis.

I'll push this badge in the next run and authorize @jflory7 for awarding it.

@smeragoel noticed some small changes that need to be made (adjust centering on medal, and the cloak needed to be brought above badger). Here are the updated files:

I think we want more than @jflory7 to be able to award the badge.. at least the Mentored Projects rep as well (@smeragoel). But before we can close this out as complete, I'd like to understand how we are awarding the badge. @mattdm please provide your input as this is your idea :)
