#984 DevConf.IN 2026 Attendee Badge
Closed: pushed by t0xic0der. Opened by t0xic0der.

Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"):

You attended the 2026 iteration of DevConf.IN, an annual free and open source conference in India!

Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is
awarded for certain kinds of activities:

1) What are those activities?

Met up with the Fedora Project contributor community at our booth at DevConf.IN 2026

2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?)

Not applicable

3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?)

Participating in Fedora Project events helps spread the word about all the good things that the community has been upto and helps enlist budding contributors for the cause.

4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?)

One-time event

5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?)

By scanning the QR code at the event booth

Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts?

Please take inspiration from the existing DevConf.IN, DevConf.CZ and DevConf.US badges.

More information about the event can be found here

@rolandixor appreciate the quick follow up. Could you please change it such that the in is in caps (as in IN) and it has a period in front of it? Take, for instance, the examples of DevConf.CZ and DevConf.US badges - they have CZ and US typed in caps with a period in front of them.

@t0xic0der Sure. couldn't find the font since those other two have their text converted to paths, so I used the Red Hat Display font.

See follow up comment for the corrected images.

Whoops - PNG didn't export correctly due to an Inkscape bug.

The badge has now been published https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/devconf-india-2026-attendee after the pull request https://pagure.io/fedora-badges/pull-request/988 was merged.

Closing ticket as fixed.
