What the badge should be granted for: To people who visited the Fedora booth in Chemnitzer Linux-Tage 2026
Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): You visited the Fedora booth at Chemnitzer Linux-Tage 2026
Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities: Since their inception in 1999 the Chemnitzer Linux-Tage have gained a reputation of being the German FLOSS community event attracting more than 3000 visitors over a weekend in March. The event takes place at the faculty of computer science/information technology at the Chemnitz university of technology and countless volunteers make it happen. There are talks, demonstrations, live workshops, community projects and some companies who present themselves. The Fedora Project usually had a physical booth at Chemnitzer Linux-Tage each year since 2007 with the exception of mainly the years of COVID-19 pandemic.
1) What are those activities? Fedora booth with table cloth and (hopefully) some swag for visitors
2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?) @robert Robert Scheck (Event Owner) @raphgro Raphael Groner - packager, user maybe more people
3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?) Traditional conference with boothes of free software projects and a programm for talks you can attend.
4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?) once a year
5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?) personal presence
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts? some inspirations could be taken from past events: CLT 2016 https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/chemnitzer-linux-tage-2016 Discussion on mailing list https://lists.fedorahosted.org/archives/list/badges@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/PLO7J5WQADJYK4BDJ757CDRSSW4RFXYV/#IS6S7OYIQTDLDNVQTKBEABNSWMFUVC5V Motivation with awarding badges for attending events https://pagure.io/Fedora-Badges/issue/479
Please also add the year into the badge. So we could reuse in future and just replace the counter.
Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): You visited CLT 2026 as an attendee.
Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities: Because it's one of the FLOSS community events in Germany (the other one is FrOSCon from my point of view), where mainly users, but also developers, from all over Germany come together. The event targets users, not developers, but users can become developers or contributors over time. Usually all common/large Linux distribution communities attend the event with a booth, while it might be not a good argument. Visitors are looking for somebody to talk about Fedora in person and to raise their questions they might not raise online. Aside of this, people are also even looking for a Fedora booth (see next section for details).
1) What are those activities?
2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?) packagers, users & newcomers, sponsors et.al
3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?) community meeting in person, discussion about current & trending topics
5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?) Personal meetings, presentations, socializing
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts? Put the logo of CLT (small tux) into the badge with the actual year.
A quick Google lookup led me to understand that the event is on around March 28th 2026. Please include this in the issue ticket so as to ensure that the requirements get the attention that they deserve. I (or anyone else, for that matter) should not feel the need of having to go out of our way to look for it. That being said, I have asked in the Fedora Badges Matrix Chat for the artwork here.

Sorry for just copy pasting from last year with actually new year and referenced tickets by links. This event is yearly.
@robert is dedicated event owner for Fedora project (since several years) and has registered our project booth to represent Fedora as a community.
That being said, I have asked in the Fedora Badges Matrix Chat for the artwork here.
@t0xic0der Thanks for support. There are some official hints as press material or swag design from event organisator. https://chemnitzer.linux-tage.de/2026/de/presse/downloads
I designed a badge, see https://pagure.io/fedora-badges/pull-request/995
Inspired by https://chemnitzer.linux-tage.de/2026/en/
The badge has now been published https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/chemnitzer-linux-tage-2026 after the pull request https://pagure.io/fedora-badges/pull-request/995 was merged.
Closing ticket as fixed. Thanks for the artworks, @robert.

@t0xic0der, thank you for reviewing and merging. Permissions to be able to award it etc. would be helpful… ;-)
