Hi @feisal, thanks for opening this issue. It still isn't clear why this change is needed. I looked at your pull request in #84 but I don't understand why this change is useful. Additionally, it moves us further away from the upstream project, mxsasha/happinesspackets. We should stay as close as possible to the upstream code where possible. See the upcoming contributor guidelines for more info.

For now, I think this issue is out of scope for the Summer Coding project. Check out some of the other good first issues.
