As discussed in diversity meeting - https://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting/2017-08-09/diversity.2017-08-09-12.00.html
We would like to print diversity team t-shirts and ship them to the team members and others who are helping. There will be a ticket for design team for this.

Can we use this one https://pagure.io/design/issue/537 with some modifications? I love the design that's why.

Could someone clarify what the timeline for this ticket is? Is this something we're trying to get done before Flock? If it's not before Flock and unrelated to Fedora Women Day, we can probably revisit this in September.
This is not for FWD. As discussed in meeting, we will print these t-shirts for team members only and the people who are helping. Hence there is not timeline defined and needed for this. We can come here after FWD.
I think it is time that we can think of it. @jflory7 if we can get them printed in Brno by devconf for the team, distribution can be done during devconf. Thoughts?
@amsharma Seems reasonable to me.
+1 :)
@bex will you able to help in producing diversity t-shirts at Brno for the team and team will collect it during devconf?
Everyone, if this sounds good, please do +1 here. Thanks.

Has anyone opened a ticket with design? How many shirts are you planning to print? What is the criteria to get one?

Design Ticket - https://pagure.io/design/issue/537 We would like to have t-shirts for the core team members first (admins) and also if we successfully plan for our next event Fedora diversity day ( we will need to increase the count accordingly ) - That is my opinion on the numbers, let's have others inputs as well. Thanks

I am not opposed to team t-shirts, however my understanding was that the t-shirt was to drive impact not recognize team members. Has this changed?
@amsharma that ticket is for FWD - and you've said this is not an FWD t-shirt
@amsharma that ticket is for FWD - and you've said this is not an FWD t-shirt ah right, we need to work on that design a bit, as everyone likes that design to make it more suitable as diversity t-shirt.
@bex hello, We discussed today in IRC meeting of diversity that we will print the t-shirts before devconf at Brno 1. Design - There will be new design ticket which Jona will open and @jonatoni will put link here 2. Distribution - We will distribute these t-shirts during diversity events through out the year. Thanks!
@jonatoni @bee2502 @jflory7 @chhavi We need to act now, if we want it to happen :) I commented in design ticket https://pagure.io/design/issue/537 about the tshirt design. It will be great if the artist among you can help there to modify the design a bit for t-shirt. Thanks :)
This is the new deign ticket which @duffy has opened - https://pagure.io/design/issue/569 Questions for team - 1. Do we want to print them before Devconf in Brno with help of Bex? 2. How many to print along with size? 3. What will be the distribution criteria?
@jflory7 @bee2502 @jonatoni ^^
Do we want to print them before Devconf in Brno with help of Bex?
If it's feasible to do, sure.
How many to print along with size?
I'd check with the printer for any discounts for bulk orders. For example, if it's a different price, for example, 10, 25, or 50, then that would be helpful to know.
What will be the distribution criteria?
The easiest one is to start with FAS group members, and distribute them in person at events. There may be other ways to measure this, but if we don't want to use FAS group members, I think we need to revisit #2.

Let's let distribution criteria guide this conversation please. How many FAS group members are there? Are they all actually active? FAS group membership seems like an odd choice as a proxy for diversity team activity.
Also, why are we doing a team shirt and not a shirt that recognizes our diversity efforts more broadly?
Thinking about it, I would like to see a general shirt that we could use for diversity-related events and distribute to community members or event attendees (example: speaker at a Fedora Women Day event) outside of our team.
The FAS group is the only easily "accessible" way of measuring team participation, but it is not an accurate picture of the team.
Design is ready for the t-shirt -> https://pagure.io/design/issue/569#comment-487790 If we all happy with the design, I think we can move this ticket ahead and get this done this year :) @jflory7 @jonatoni @bee2502 @chhavi and everyone please let me know how you feel about design and @bex can we proceed with it. Thanks.
I am still very confused as to why this shirt is being made and how we are going to pick printing numbers.
There is a lot of conversation about vaguely using it "at events at some point in the future" both using if for FWD and not for FWD and about it being a team shirt but we don't know who should get it.
Most of the tone of this conversation seems to be focused on how do we hand out shirts to a small number of people in Brno who will happen to be their for either DevConf or the CommOps FAD. The proposed design also supports this idea as it specifically states "Fedora Diversity Team" which doesn't seem like a shirt to be used with random diversity events or FWD.
I cannot allow a batch of shirts to be printed with no plan for how they are going to be used.
I would also like us to come up with a more firm idea of how we intend to use them. We can cover this topic at the next meeting. I am unsure if we'll have an answer by the end of the month for this, but I think that's okay.
