#557 F33 Release Note proposal: coreutils does not install its own 256 color scheme any more
Closed 2 years ago by bcotton. Opened 3 years ago by kdudka.

I propose to include the following item in F33 Release Notes:

coreutils does not install its own 256 color scheme any more

As requested in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/1830318 coreutils in Fedora 33 does not install its own 256 color scheme any more. Consequently, the colorized output of ls may become less readable in some terminals after upgrading to Fedora 33. To make the output readable again, users are advised to change the color palette in their terminals. For example, lxterminal, which is the default terminal in LXDE, is known to work better with the Tango color palette now.

Please feel free to rewrite the above text as you like or drop it altogether if not appropriate.
