If a user doesn't already have a FAS account, we should have a mechanism in hubs to allow them to create an account from hubs. Moving forward I think it would be nice for Hubs to be the place to create a FAS account and to use FAS as the backend but this is totally up for discussion.
First, a new user would click on the "Need an account?" link to the lower right of the screen, under the login button:
Next they fill out: - desired FAS username - real name first/last - email address (2x) - security question - security answer - age verification - CAPTCHA
This mockup shows how the form verification and contextual hints for filling out the form fields would work.
Don't they also need a country? Or am I misremembering?
And I assume the error checking would be happening when they change away from a field to another one (rather than at the end, and it also shouldn't assume that going to a different page or application means that they are done with that field)?
You may be right on country. I will check.
Yes, correct assumption on error checking! Should be as they change fields!
Wow, so I thought it was but it doesn't appear to be right now in FAS2. I wonder if it was a FAS3 thing or what.
