#225 rpmautospec makes Obsoletes: handling difficult
Closed: Invalid by nphilipp. Opened by sgallagh.

We should update https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/#renaming-or-replacing-existing-packages with information on how to properly set Obsoletes: when renaming or replacing packages by one that uses rpmautospec. These probably cannot be autogenerated, but we should explain to packagers how to use rpmautospec calculate-release to figure out which value to use.

I’ll close this issue as the project has been moved to https://github.com/fedora-infra/rpmautospec some time ago. If this is still relevant, please open a ticket there.
