I'm trying to build a package for epel8 and I see that autospec macros are not supported over there currently. Are there any plans to enable epel8 support?

I'm planning to bring rpmautospec to EPEL8, yes. It's a bit of rote work as there are dependencies that need to be available in updated versions.
