#10011 Acquire fedoraloveskde.org for a splash site
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by kevin. Opened 3 years ago by ngompa.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Fedora is sponsoring Akademy this year, and the KDE SIG wants to produce a splash site about why Fedora loves KDE, so we'd like the domain acquired and ready for us to set up a site for.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

ASAP, but definitely before 2021/06/18 (the first day of Akademy).

The fedoraloveskde.org website sources are now available: https://pagure.io/fedora-kde/fedoraloveskde.org

ok, so is the plan here that we host the content on our proxies as well? Or just point the domain to some place else where the site is available?

Yeah, we host it. It's a static website generated with Hugo.

Youre use of 'we' there is confusing to me. :)
we == kde sig?
we == fedora infrastructure?
we == ?

but from irc I see the intent is that fedora-infrastructure hosts it.

Working on a deployment plan.

To make deployment easier, I pushed the build artifacts on the production branch in the public folder. Just copy them on the webhost and it should work. It would be nice to have a ci pipeline or nightly cron job that fetches the repo automatically and update the webhost since we will probably do some polishing in the next few days.

Thanks :)

ok. Both staging and prod are live and running. They should sync hourly out from the git repo branches.
