#10018 Re-provision AWS EC2 virtual machine (telegram-irc-01.fedorainfracloud.org) with Fedora 34
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by jflory7. Opened 3 years ago by jflory7.

Describe what you would like us to do:

An AWS EC2 virtual machine intended for TeleIRC exists at telegram-irc-01.fedorainfracloud.org, but access was lost in the data center move. I am requesting the VM to be re-provisioned with latest Fedora 34 cloud/minimal image.

The confusion came from the fact that we had this as an OpenStack VM back in the day, and then it was going to live in Communishift. Then the hot legal mess with Communishift happened, then the data center move happened, and we assumed the virtual machine was lost. We are going to move the current services running on a Rochester Institute of Technology server hosted by @tjzabel over into the Fedora-managed AWS instance.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

The tight deadline is to reduce bus factor on me before I go on vacation, so I can add more sysadmins to take a look at the TeleIRC virtual machines should things act up.

I talked with @nb about this over Telegram and this is how we synced up and discovered this VM still exists in the Fedora-managed AWS cloud.
