i was testing up and downgrades for a class i gave tuesday and stumpled upon a small mystery.
[root@fedora packages]# dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing --showduplicates list firefox Letzte Prüfung auf abgelaufene Metadaten: vor 0:03:49 am Di 22 Jun 2021 14:35:54 CEST. Installierte Pakete firefox.x86_64 87.0-12.fc34 @fedora Verfügbare Pakete firefox.x86_64 87.0-12.fc34 fedora firefox.x86_64 87.0-12.fc34 updates-testing firefox.x86_64 89.0-2.fc34 updates
I first thought it is a problem in dnf, but it's not:
https://mirrors.xtom.de/fedora/updates/testing/34/Everything/x86_64/Packages/f/
and check for firefox, you see a ff 87 version.
So: FF 87 in test repo, but 89 in normal updates repo.
Martin Stransky had no idea what have caused this, so it needs investigation.

I think this is another case of https://github.com/fedora-infra/bodhi/issues/1164
ie, it's not getting untagged right after going to stable. ;(
I have manually untagged those 2 old firefox builds from updates-testing and hopefully we can fix the upstream bodhi issue someday.
