Fedora People Cgit (https://fedorapeople.org/cgit/) is currently running Cgit 1.1 which is ~5 years old0. Can you please update it to the latest version, 1.2.3? I am not sure how that Cgit instance is installed, but the Fedora package is up to date1.
No rush
This is a rhel7 instance. We need the version in epel7 to be updated.
Would you be willing to file a bug asking it to be updated?
Or we could ask @tmz here...
Yeah, it's probably worth updating for epel7. I've got a (really) old ticket to add an epel8 branch as well. I did a bit of testing and package cleanup while working on that over the summer, but something distracted me before I got to pushing it. I'll try to take a look and finish that up soon.
I ran a scratch build for epel7, built from 3c6b61f (create /var/lib/git to improve SELinux compatibility, 2021-06-07) in my cgit package fork. If anyone has time to test that and let me know if there's any issues (upgrading an existing epel7 install or otherwise), that'd be great.
