hey mo!
What slug were you thinking for this group?
gitlab.com/fedora/design/
also, we can tie permissions to a fedora accounts group -- want to give everyone in the designteam group "developer" access?
So still learning how the SAML group linking works, and there is a few options:
If you want to link permissions in your gitlab group (i.e. fedora/designteam/) to a FAS group, you will probably also have to have a designteam-owners group or similar. Because once permissions are set up to use SAML (i.e. Fedora Accounts groups), normal gitlab permissions -- that is setting them in the gitlab UI will go away the next time that user logs in. And the way the SAML permissions work is linking a 1 SAML group to 1 gitlab role ( e.g. "designteam" group gets "developer" role in gitlab) So you will need to define a group that gets the owner role.
or you can just manually maintain adding and removing users via the gitlab UI and not use Fedora Accounts groups at all.
