#10448 Discourse login via Fedora Account System is broken
Closed: Fixed by ryanlerch. Opened by cra.

I'm trying to change my email address after receiving a message from Discourse "Is your email address correct? We’re sorry, but we’re having trouble reaching you via email. Our last few emails to you have all bounced back as undeliverable." That message has a link "your email address" that points to this URL:

http://fedora-discussion-v2.trydiscourse.com/my/preferences/email

which redirects to:

https://fedora-discussion-v2.trydiscourse.com/login-preferences

which says:

All outgoing email has been globally disabled by an administrator. No email notifications of any kind will be sent.

Welcome to Fedora Discussion 2022! New year, new structure, new conversations — see what's changed!

Please Log In

You need to be logged in to change your user preferences.

The Log In button opens a dialog that has two options for logging in--neither one works for me. The "Fedora Account System" link leads to this:

https://id.fedoraproject.org/openidc/Authorization?client_id=discussion&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffedora-discussion-v2.trydiscourse.com%2Fauth%2Foauth2_basic%2Fcallback&response_type=code&scope=openid+profile+email&state=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

which says:

400 - Bad Request

Invalid redirect_uri

If the error persists and if you think this is an error, contact Fedora Infra to resolve the problem.

You should not have gotten that email — that was a staging site for a now-completed site update. Sorry about that — I'm not sure why that might have happened.

you should be able to log into https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/ now just fine.

@cra are you able to login?

going to close this one as fixed, feel free to reopen if you still cannot login
