I have a couple of mailing lists which have not had any traffic and just build up 'spam' in the mailman database. Since all those entries grow out the mailman DB and mailman is slow already, I would like to see what is needed to completely clean out/lock-down some lists
epel-user@lists.fedoraproject.org x86@lists.fedoraproject.org
Things to be done. All subscribers removed No new subscriptions to be allowed No email submissions to be 'held' but just returned with a 'this list does not work anymore'.

I've done almost all of that. I am not sure if we want to unsubscribe everyone, as I think mailman might send everyone a unsubscribe email.
Otherwise, I:
set the lists to not appear in archive searches changed the owner to 'nobody@fedoraproject.org' (/dev/null) set all posts from members and nonmembers to reject set list discription to ARCHIVED set subscriptions to need moderation from the non existant moderator
