Create a group named Fedora Sway SIG under gitlab.com/fedora. We are planning to use it for work on a Sway spin for F37. The group URL could be gitlab.com/fedora/sway-sig. Access list will be maintained manually (for now), as syncing with the sway-sig FAS group seems to have limitations.
Fedora Sway SIG
sway-sig
Additionally, if possible, make it browseable without requiring Fedora account (most of the public groups in Fedora namespace currently require FAS SSO sign-in to see a list of projects).
Preferably this week

Ping? Any updates?
If there's something blocking that, I'd like to be aware of it so that we could proceed to our backup plan with pagure.io.
CC: @ryanlerch has been handling gitlab requests lately.
Would you be ok with... gitlab.com/fedora/sigs/sway ? that would let us organize sigs under one subproject...
and sorry for the delay.
fedora/sigs/sway sounds fine to me. Thanks!
@ryanlerch can you take care of this one? Or shall I?
Sorry about the delay on this! i missed this ticket
The Fedora GitLab now has the ability to be viewed without logging in with a Fedora Account, but we do now use Fedora Accounts for permissions.
I can link the sway-sig Fedora Accounts group to the "Developer" role in gitlab. Typically, other gtoups have added a -admin group i.e. sway-sig-admin and put that on the Owner role.
-admin
sway-sig-admin
we can get that group set up, but who would you like as sponsors on that Fedora Accounts group?
Ok the group is set up now:
https://gitlab.com/fedora/sigs/sway
and anyone in the sway-sig group will get access as a "developer"
Note that you will need to link your Fedora Account to your gitlab account. To do this,
Thank you for setting up the group! Can confirm that "Developer" access works.

Hm. Yes, there will be some permissions beyond the Developer role that we'd want to have. You can add me to the sway-sig-admin sponsors, and probably @thofmann (sway-sig owner) if he's interested.
@kevin are you able to make a sway-sig-admin group in Fedora Accounts for this?
I can open a separate ticket if you need me too.
Admin group has been created https://accounts.fedoraproject.org/group/sway-sig-admin/
Thanks a lot! Although I see that I'm not a member of the group. Can you please also add me?
Sorry for the delay. Added you.
Let us know if you need anything else!

Hi @kevin I was recently added to the sway-sig group though my SAML metadata never sync to GitLab https://gitlab.com/groups/fedora/sigs/sway/-/group_members
Meaning I needed to be implicitly added to the sway-sig group on gitlab by @alebastr manually where this sync should have taken place during the GitLab SSO process.
Would you be able to take a look?
I've tried various things such as:
