#10719 [modularity] BODHI won't offer new module builds for autofill
Closed: Upstream 2 years ago by kevin. Opened 2 years ago by mschorm.

On page: https://release-engineering.github.io/mbs-ui/modules
IDs: 14509, 145010, 14511
Which should match:
mariadb-10.6-3720220523134545.9e842022
mariadb-10.6-3620220523134545.5e5ad4a0
mariadb-10.6-3520220523134545.f27b74a8

However BODHI won't offer nor accept those builds with a following error:

Builds : Cannot find release associated with build: mariadb-10.6-3720220523134545.9e842022, tags: ['f37-modular']

When did you get this error mesage? When submitting the build for testing?
Rawhide modules do not use Bodhi. They flow to Rawhide repositories automatically. See:

$ koji list-history --build mariadb-10.6-3720220523134545.9e842022
Mon May 23 17:45:38 2022 mariadb-10.6-3720220523134545.9e842022 tagged into f37-modular-updates-candidate by mbs/mbs.fedoraproject.org
Mon May 23 17:47:59 2022 mariadb-10.6-3720220523134545.9e842022 untagged from f37-modular-updates-candidate by autopen
Mon May 23 17:47:59 2022 mariadb-10.6-3720220523134545.9e842022 tagged into f37-modular by autopen [still active]

And it's available in the repository now:

# dnf module info mariadb:10.6 | grep Version
Version : 3720220523134545

Ahh, bingo, that was it !
I removed the Rawhide build form the lists of builds I put into BODHI and it worked.
Thanks !

However none of the builds I submitted as updates were offered as autofill by BODHI.
I updated the ticket subject to track only the autofill suggestions issue.

Odd. It seems to work for me. Did you wait until the spinning circle finished (thats bodhi getting the list of builds from koji).

If I do that here and wait for it to finish, them type 'mariadb' it does offer me a suggestion... ;(

Description of what happened:
I've made build for Fedora base (mariadb 10.5) and then several module streams for mariadb package (10.5, 10.6, 10.7)

When I went to BODHI, I saw the Fedora base mariadb 10.5 and the 10.5 mariadb module stream, but not the 10.6 and 10.7 module streams.
So the issue is that some suggestions are missing.
There is e.g. some update for EPEL 8 which was create unintentionally and now it will probably haunt there till the end of EPEL 8 days.

However, I was able to create updates with the 10.6 & 10.7 module streams when I correctly crafted the modular NVR (or how it is called). So they were available to use, but not available in the text field suggestion.

Today, 10.8 modular stream builds finished and when I visited BODHI, I've got them offerred normally.

Yes, I waited for the search to finish every time.

This is not the first time this happened as far as I remember.

It's hard to reproduce now, when I used up all of the builds to create updates ... :/
I have to wait for some other time I make a lot of modular streams updates at the same time :(

Lets track this upstream...
