Some years ago at Red Hat we started allowing people to have usernames longer than eight characters. I was on the list of people that got a corrected username internally having long suffered as "dcantrel". I made peace with that a long time ago and to make my life easier made all of my local accounts and my FAS account align as 'dcantrel'. Once RH fixed things, I made changes locally and in Fedora again to switch to 'dcantrell'.
Fedora was a bit more tricky and what we did was create a new 'dcantrell' account so we could figure out if anything was still incorrectly tied to 'dcantrel'. Enough time has passed now and I think we can safely remove 'dcantrel' (one "L" on the end).
I bring this up because someone added me as a co-maintainer on a package today and selected 'dcantrel' so it's at least still in that database and should not be. Regarding packages, anything that still has 'dcantrel' as a maintainer or contributor should change over to 'dcantrell' and then I would like the 'dcantrel' account removed to avoid future confusion for people. I'm not sure if there's an easy way I can query that or to make a change, but hope someone can help me.
Thanks!
So, pagure/src groups are refreshed on login and it will offer to allow anyone in the packager group to co-maintain...
So, I went into the database and removed dcantrel from 'packager' there. I also disabled the account.
It should no longer show up, but... somehow it still does. ;(
@pingou any ideas?

Had a little dig into this one, and i think I know what is going on:
dcantrel
I don't think blocking dcantrel on the src.fo.o pagure would stop it from showing in the suggestions -- tested this on pagure.io with one of the recently blocked users on there, and they still showed up in the dropdown.
Renaming dcantrel to old-dcantrel in the DB?
But yeah, it won't be removed from the drop-down, removing it from the packager group should prevent it being added to project, which is already something
ok. @dcantrell is that sufficient ?
And it would be good for someone who is a packager, but not a pagure admin to try and add dcantel to a package and confirm it doesn't work. ;)
Going to close this one as fixed here. the dcantrel user cannot be added as a co-maintainer to packages any more.
@dcantrell feel free to re-open if you want / need anymore done on the infra side.
