#11320 Create a FAS group for housing Fedora Websites CMS editors
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by ryanlerch. Opened 2 years ago by t0xic0der.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Create a FAS group for housing Fedora Websites CMS editors.

Fedora Websites make use of the Netlify CMS system which saves progress by committing them in the repository itself using the name/email of the person who has made those changes. This of course requires the editor to have commit access to the repository and up until now, we have been manually handing this access to folks who wanted to edit the content on our websites. In order to better keep track of the list of folks having access to the repository and to ensure that only FAS-mapped GitLab users are able to make changes - it would be crucial to have the aforementioned FAS group.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

As soon as possible

Cleaned up those users who were either given access directly by a user from the GitLab interface or did not have the SAML enabled or both.

Logging back in using the SAML SSO link should give them back their accesses and also ensure that they agree with the FPCA when they make their contributions.
