I need to push some QE files into the NetworkManager repo but cannot log into src.fedoraproject.org. Do I require some approval so I can log in there?
my nick is vbenes
What error do you get?

Do you by chance have another account with the same email address? Or another account with the same ssh key attached?
I can log in as a benesv at email.cz email, when there was a merger from centos I moved from benesv to vbenes (my RH account too) so yes, there can be more of them, can I clean those somehow or merge them properly and stay with just vbenes?
The problem is that both accounts have the exact same ssh key. ;(
Can you try this:

And you are sure you logged into src.fedoraproject.org with the benesv user after you deleted the ssh key?
src.fedoraproject.org refreshes account information on login and at no other time. So, you must login there to sync the 'ssh key deleted' information to it.
Any news here? did you get it working? or still erroring for you?
nope, logged in as benesv, logged out, deleted cookies for the site to avoid relogging of benesv and when logging as benesv I still get Fatal Error (500)
Hum, ok, I don't see the ssh key now... not sure why it's complaining.
Can you try and login as vbenes again and tell us here the exact time/date it was? I want to look at the traceback and see if I can see whats happening based on that...
I think we solved this... it was email address. :(
Please re-open if I am wrong and we still have any issue here.

hmm, still see: Could not set up you as a user properly, please contact an administrator
Can we inspect further? I can log in as benesv@email.cz but I would like to have everything under vbenes (as that how I log into id.centos.org for NetworkManager testing), we even may close the other account if it's causing rush and sync everything under this one

so we know what the issue is, there is my email somewhere in the db that blocks it. I fixed vbenes with providing another mail, but that solution is not correct, could you please fix it? when I want to switch to my email.cz email I am refused with error that the email is used elsewhere.. I would like to fix this.
I'm sorry, I thought this issue was solved months ago. ;(
I'm a bit confused exactly whats going on here.
I guess that you can now login as vbenes as you like, but you changed the email address on it to some 3rd email address.
Can you tell me the desired state for each account?
We can delete the benesv account and have just the vbenes one, no idea where the duplicity occured. Ideal solution would be to transfer rights form benesv over to vbenes.
I would love to have my personal email set to vbenes (benesv at email cz) and bugzilla account to vbenes at redhat com, but we somehow need to clean the db entries for those emails.
Thank you so much, Vladimir

ok, its no longer email... its now ssh key I am pretty sure.
SHA256:1hwcg3B6hqo0tBAYKF5VUaoTgBUZNFVwF+wnN4ASgvU vbenes@benjoband (ssh-rsa)
is attached to both accounts in the account system. When you then try and login as vbenes it sees the key already on benesv and won't create vbenes.
can you:
If that woks you can remove it from benesv on accounts, login to src.fedoraproject.org, then add it to vbenes and login again and it should have the key there.

and we already proved that changing email address was the point of failure, so nope, this is not abou ssh keys. emails are wrong. I cannot have benesv email added to vbenes account for some reason, switching again back to my gmail account as this is not moving anywhere. I think we need to delete completely the benesv account. I don't need it.

ok. I think I have the addresses swapped.
benesv -> benes.ladik at gmail.com
vbenes -> benesv at email.cz
Can you try and login and confirm it works ?

We don't really delete accounts (it causes problems with past events, etc). I can deactivate it if you want, or just leave it now unused?
Sorry this took a while to get done. :(
oh my, and today, I wanted to log into https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/hostapd
as vbenes
and guess what: This email address seems to already be associated with another account and thus can not be associated with yours
why oh why? openID? libavatar? what else can be connected with my email?
Hopeless, Vladimir

ok. I found that there was another table that still had the redhat.com email... I cleared that.
Can you try again now?
