Per the CentOS Board ticket, we need CentOS IRC channels bridged over to Matrix with Matrix rooms created in the process. The Matrix rooms should be centos-channel:fedoraproject.org for now. In the future, we'll get the rooms renamed to channel:centosproject.org.
centos-channel:fedoraproject.org
channel:centosproject.org
The IRC channels that need bridging are:
These rooms need to be set up the same way Fedora ones are, such that Matrix users don't need to bother with NickServ. #centos-hyperscale on Libera Chat (which is already bridged to Matrix) also needs to be fixed in the same manner.
NickServ
#centos-hyperscale
The namespace channel operator to coordinate with is @pajamian (who is pj on IRC).
pj
This needs to be done ASAP, but absolutely before July 31 (the drop dead date for the portal room support for Libera Chat IRC).

centoshelp is not a project channel as the namespace consists of #centos, #centos-*
And this is all completely unnecessary and just creating more work for volunteers. As we've (Libera) pointed out on multiple occasions the deportalling does not impact third-party bridges.
I missed one channel pointed out by @jwboyer, centos-isa, and added it to the list.
centos-isa
@gerdesas It affects pretty much everyone who interacts through matrix.org, correct? There's a large number of people in CentOS who do, and so we need the bridged rooms up so Matrix users regardless of homeserver have a way to these rooms.
We also do not currently have any bridging in place for any room except centos-hyperscale. The rest rely on the portal rooms. This ticket is about creating them using the bridge hosted by the Fedora Matrix server.
centos-hyperscale

So, the new deadline would be Aug 11th.
This helps. At the least, we can delay until after Flock. At the best, we could get the right people together for 15-30 minutes at Flock and get this done.
FYI this is blocked by the fact that the bridge is completely down currently.
( see ticket #11460 )
[backlog refinement] Closing as the bridge is currently down and we don't have any power over that. Please re-open when the bridge will be back again, if it will be still needed at that time.
