#11434 Opt-in for AWS region to ap-southeast-4 - acct:125523088429
Closed: Fixed 11 months ago by kevin. Opened 11 months ago by aaradhak.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Include the ap-southeast-4 region for cloud and coreos image deployments in Amazon EC2.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/using-regions-availability-zones.html

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

When it is possible preferrably before our next FCOS release

To enable a Region

Sign in to the AWS Management Console.
In the upper right corner of the console, choose your account name or number and then choose My Account.
In the AWS Regions section, next to the name of the Region that you want to enable, choose Enable.
In the dialog box, review the informational text and choose Enable Region.
Wait until the Region is ready to use.

can we check the quota for this region (and il-central-1) for public AMIs and bump it up way higher? We are hitting an error while trying to do our Fedora CoreOS releases today.

A bonus would be checking what the value is for all regions and making them the same across the board.

I cannot change anything on il-central-1. It says it has no service quotas and won't let me change anything. ;(

The other one, I did see that it was 'public ami's you were hitting and thats set to '5'. I requested 100... but after talking about it we should increase it more. I sadly cannot do so while it's got a pending request.

As for setting them all the same, we could try, but it' would require one request per region and then getting that approved. I don't think it's worth the hassle unless we are hitting the limit anywhere.
