#11571 fedoraproject.org/releases.json - Release 37 is gone
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by frantisekz. Opened 2 years ago by frantisekz.

Describe what you would like us to do:

I was notified that one of the tools I develop started to error out when an user requests Fedora 37 image. I've tracked the problem into https://fedoraproject.org/releases.json which used to contain images for Fedora 37, but doesn't do so anymore.

Is that expected? The EOL date is still some time ahead of us.

Thanks!

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

In order to simplify the release process on the websites, I updated the releases.json to only list releases that are available to download on the fedoraproject.org website (F38 and 39 beta currently, then F39 only when it's GA).
As far as I knew, only Fedora Media Writer was using this file.

If it's really needed, I can modify the build process to keep the last 2 releases in that file.

I'd prefer that ofc, If it is not too much of the trouble. I can try to figure out some other options if it'd be too painful.

testcloud/tmt uses that to get Cloud image urls for various architectures.

The new releases.json with the latest 2 versions is now available.
Note that F37 will be gone from that list once F39 is GA.

Thanks a lot.

(Note that if keeping the N-1 release there becomes too much of a burden, please ping me, I'll look for other options in that case),

@psss FYI, it works now for me just fine.

Thanks for the fix!

Wouldn't it be good to keep it in the list at least until the End of Life (2023-11-14)?
