The FPO ID Ipsilon FAS portal has been unstable for a bit now. The impact appears to be for anything that uses id.fedoraproject.org for the authentication flow. Direct integrations (i.e. accounts.fedoraproject.org, kerberos) are not affected.

In the past this has been identified as an issue with sssd on ipsilon01.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Resolve the instability of the FAS openid service. It is very useful and is used for important authentication flows, such as logging into the FPO Wiki.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

At lesuire.

The service recovered with no known operator action according to discussion in the FI matrix channel. In the past, manual action had to be taken. Still needs to be investigated and resolved.

I restarted sssd on ipsilon01.

We are already tracking this in ticket #11799

I haven't really done much on it yet... we are beta freeze right now (and I was on PTO today).
