Describe what you would like us to do:

https://pagure.io/fedora-join/Welcome-to-Fedora no longer exists. The complete project has disappeared. Not sure how this has happened, but could someone please investigate?

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

ASAP please---this is where we funnel newcomers and we had lots of tickets for them there.

Uh, any chance we can "undelete" it @pingou ? I think they've done that by mistake ... I'll remove them from the pagure group now too so that it doesn't happen again..

@ankursinha @pingou Im very sorry i caused some of you problems i deleted that by mistake hope i didnt cause too mutch problem im very sorry. And i would like to applogise to everyone else who i caused very big inconvenience thank you.

Hi @rinalds , please don't worry about it, stuff happens :)

We haven't lost anything really critical here. We'll see if it can be undeleted, otherwise we can create a new repo and start again with our tickets.

Hi infra folks: I am just wondering if recovering the repo is at all possible?

(I was thinking of starting a new repo for the moment so we can continue to service newcomers coming in. If the repo can be recovered, we'll migrate tickets to it once it has been recovered, otherwise the temporary repo I create will go on to become the new one.)

I can restore the repo(s) from backups, but then I am not sure how to handle the database side of things. ;(

Perhaps @pingou could say how possible this is?

So, should I still try and restore this info somewhere for you? at least you could look through the git repos for anything you wanted to keep?

Or have you already figured out a path forward at this point?

Hi @kevin

Thanks for looking into this. It's the tickets that we'd like to recover if at all possible. We've set up a new repo in the meantime based on the local copy of the repo that I had, but I hadn't cloned the ticket repo unfortunately.

Cheers,

Sorry for the delay here.

You should be able to get the repo at:

https://infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/pub/infra/bigfiles/tmp/Welcome-to-Fedora.git

Can you grab that and let us know if there's any issues left here?

Sorry @kevin , i was away and didn't get a chance to download the repo yet. Is it still up on the URL you've noted? (I get a 403 when I try to clone it/access the URL in my browser)
