Hello. I am the administrator of the Archive of Siwoo mirror server. I recently noticed that the CentOS-Stream mirror has been registered. However, the location indicated on the "Fedora Mirrors Map" is incorrect, so I am requesting a correction. The current location of our mirror server is listed as Seoul, but it should be changed to Gwangju. - Domain Name: mirror.siwoo.org - Fedora mirror site URL: https://mirrormanager.fedoraproject.org/site/2615
I would really appreciate it if you could proceed as soon as possible.
Thank you! Best regard
The location on the map is the result of our GeoIP database:
$ geoiplookup mirror.siwoo.org GeoIP Country Edition: KR, Korea, Republic of GeoIP City Edition, Rev 1: KR, 18, Kwangju-jikhalsi, Gwangju, N/A, 35.154701, 126.915604, 0, 0 GeoIP ASNum Edition: AS4766 Korea Telecom
Unfortunately that is not really something we can control we just use the database as we get it from maxmind.

Thank you for confirming the issue. I checked the latitude/longitude information you left and confirmed that it is marked as Gwangju when searching for the location.
Google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/35%C2%B009'16.9%22N+126%C2%B054'56.2%22E/data=!4m4!3m3!8m2!3d35.154701!4d126.915604?entry=ttu
If you check it at the URL, you will see a different location than the one registered in the Fedora mirror map,
<img alt="siwoomirror.png" src="/fedora-infrastructure/issue/raw/files/b8abd4fd28318e099c35467a595bdcc71c34c594f314406ff641fabe1da5351e-siwoomirror.png" />
As you said, the system automatically selects the location, so if it is impossible to change it passively, I can't help it, but if it is possible to change it as in the attached picture, please change it.

The data we have in our GeoIP database is: 37.6402 127.2207, which seems incorrect. Our GeoIP database is shared in the infra, maybe it's outdated? Indeed, according to roles/batcave, the GeoIP download script hasn't been installed on batcave since the move from PHX2. When I try to run it, I see that geolite.maxmind.com does not exist anymore, they changed the availability of their free database and we now need to register with them to get it. I don't know if there are terms of service that we must review before creating an account, but it's likely.
Yep, there is an end user license agreement: https://www.maxmind.com/en/geolite2/signup I don't think it makes the data non-Free, but someone who can understand this language should probably have a look.
Ah, that was the situation. Understood. If there comes a time when we need to patch the open-source map, it would be appreciated if you could make the necessary modifications then. Thank you for checking it!
