Describe what you would like us to do:

As part of the work that @salimma and I have been doing for Fedora Btrfs, we'd like to have a SIG for maintaining the Btrfs related software.

We need the following:

  • btrfs-sig@ (sig-internal for BZ emails) and btrfs@ (devel discussion) mailing lists
  • btrfs-sig FAS group (so we can have group co-maint of packages)
  • #btrfs:fedoraproject.org primary name for the existing #btrfs:fedora.im room

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

As soon as reasonably possible.

For the FAS group, @salimma and myself should be the sponsors.

I worked on this today and partially finished it. What is done:

  • mailing lists are created (btrfs-sig@ is disabled to not show up in archives: Show list on index page is set to No. I never before created a private mailman mailing list, so I'm not sure if that is enough)
  • Group is now available and @ngompa and @salimma are set as sponsors

What is missing:

  • I'm not sure how to set the e-mail as BZ e-mail for a group (I assume it's done somewhere in admin interface of BZ I don't have access to) I'm also not sure if I correctly created the private mailing list in btrfs-sig mailing list case
  • I don't have admin permissions for Matrix, so I can't do the change of primary name

I think the rest needs to be done by @kevin

On the mailing list you also need to set archives to 'private' (I set that for this one)

In the group settings there should be a 'mailing list address' field. Should be 'btrfs-sig@lists.fedoraproject.org' I set that.

I ran 'pagure-admin new-group btrfs-sig ngompa --description="BTRFS sig" --display="BTRFS sig"' on pkgs01

I set the matrix room.

For bugzilla, now that the list exists, they need to create a btrfs-sig@lists.fedoraproject.org bugzilla account. It should mail the list the details to ack it, then it should be all setup.
