Since the beginning of this week I have been getting an error whenever I log into any Fedora Service (tested with COPR, Pagure and FAS). After the login page, I receive an "Error 400 - Bad Request" page, with an "Invalid transaction id" message (see image).
In spite of the error, the login is actually successful and trying to access the service again shows a successfully logged user.
This has been happening consistently on Firefox (Flatpak).
Kind regards!

Have the same issue via Floorp. This was in regards to login to Fedora Discussion.
Is it possible you are leaving the login window open for a few minutes before logging in?
Can you reproduce without any plugins/extensions?

I disabled the following: - BetterTTV - GNOME Shell integration - Return YouTube Dislike - uBlock Origin
And got the following page...
<img alt="Screenshot_20250501_220945.png" src="/fedora-infrastructure/issue/raw/files/88f90c03180632ec373f08688614b8b549275af1d07cc45d4815388ddcd6b52b-Screenshot_20250501_220945.png" />
When i press the "Fedora Account System" I am logged in, but on the left side of the browser/site - I have to "Sign Up" - which does not make sense.
Nope, I log in pretty much as soon as the page loads.
I have tried on Firefox without any extensions and the problem persists :(
Same issue happening here... Firefox without extensions I get the 400 error for https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/
@chronoscrat I had to signup (I used the same email/username) and it worked. Now it links to my profile... I don't know what happened, but if you can give it a try ;)
Not exactly :(
The problem doesn't affect only Discussion, but pretty much everything that relies on Fedora's SSO. The thing is, even though I get an error, the login itself is still successful. All I need to do is refresh the page I was trying to access in the first page.
@chronoscrat Very strange. Can you try a private browser window and/or clearing any *.fedoraproject.org cookies? I wonder if there's a corrupt cookie causing problems...
I had tried on a private window a couple of days ago and the problem persisted, but I have just retried and there was no error this time. Maybe the issue was simply temporary?
In any case it seems to be (mostly) solved. I have not gotten an error today when trying to log into COPR.
Lets leave this open a bit and see if it's truely gone away for you or not...
I'll monitor for the next ~4 days and report back :)
It's been some time and I haven't got the error again so it was likely some temporary problem.
I'll go ahead and close this issue :)
Thanks, guys <3

I'm being hit by the same problem today using Firefox 138.0.3, I found this closed one when searching for "login" before opening a new issue. I can confirm that login is "kind of" ok after refresh - that's how I was able to post here.
I was trying to login into Fedora Discussion. I tried in a private window with extensions disabled, and upon login it took me to the sign-up page. Going back in browsing history and refreshing Discussion page I'm still NOT logged in:
<img alt="screenshot_20250526_090658.png" src="/fedora-infrastructure/issue/raw/files/9e435191bf76413b777931ca3efce1f1e2d10f2afae329a974cd1e1b6573905c-screenshot_20250526_090658.png" />
Are you still seeing this? if so... please file a new issue and refer to this old one please?
I tried again today, it's working - so nothing to report. This seems to be an intermittent issue..
There were 2 small windows when our ipa directory server crashed, perhaps you just got unlucky and hit things at that exact time. ;(
Intermittent problems are always difficult. ;(
I'm trying to sign up for an account so I can report issues I'm experiencing with various packages. I've had my account for about ten minutes. The signup process was very slow, and now trying to log into the discussion page provides me with a "400: Bad Request" error similar to the others here.
I tried to edit my comment here, and it said "Could not make edit work". I wanted to add on that the page in question says:
400 - Bad Request Invalid transaction id If the error persists and if you think this is an error, contact Fedora Infra to resolve the problem.
So I'm contacting the infra team via this venue.
After waiting twenty minutes, it started working. Perhaps there is a delay between creating a new account and having it work?
