Reason for outage:

Element Matrix services will be upgrading our fedora.im and fedoraproject.org servers to use the new Matrix Authentication Server. This will allow clients to use the new element X and siding sync.

Affected Services:

chat.fedoraproject.org web site/application.
fedora.im matrix server
fedoraproject.org matrix server

It came up that there is some conflicting information about the scheduled outage:

It is unclear whether the maintenance window begins in 30 minutes, or if it begins in 90 minutes. I am going with the working assumption of 30 minutes from now.
