#5462 Fedora lists: find list field fails to find lists
Closed: Fixed None Opened 7 years ago by chrismurphy.

= bug description =
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/

On the right side, in the "Find list" field, typing any list fails.

= bug analysis =

In Find list I tried the following:
desktop
workstation
devel

All fail. For example finding list desktop results in this URL:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/desktop/
And this messages:
Not Found
The requested URL /archives/list/desktop/ was not found on this server.

The actual URL is:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/desktop@lists.fedoraproject.org/

If I type in desktop@lists.fedoraproject.org into the Find list field, it finds the desktop list.

= fix recommendation =

shrug probably something smarter than just tacking on "@lists.fedoraproject.org" onto whatever the user enters in the field; but even that would work better than the way it doesn't work currently.

Do you have javascript disabled or the like?

You're not supposed to hit return, you should type the search term in the search field and it will bring up a list of results and you choose one from that list and it goes to it.

Just privacy badger and ublock, noscript is disabled. I'm not sure why but just relaunching Firefox and now this works, the list name appears in a list under the search field. I guess notabug.

Strange. ok.

Do let us know if you see it again...
