I need that email to go out to devel-announce. I should be whitelisted for posting to that list as the backup Election Wrangler and FCAIC. Who needs to approve that?
email posted - leaving open for whitelisting question. Thank you @puiterwijk for releasing the email.
We do not whitelist anyone for any announce lists. The idea being that another human moderator reviews every post and acks it. If we whitelist we also are vulnerable to people spoofing your address and spewing posts to the list.
If there are timezones where moderators aren't around, we could add more moderators?
Ok. Who are the moderators? Where is that documented in case I have future election (or other) announcements? I understand the lack of a whitelist.
listname-owner@lists.fedoraproject.org goes to all owners of listname.
mailman2 you could look at the web interface and get a list of owners, but in mailman3 this is not the case (I guess for privacy reasons?).
If you are going to be posting time senstive things to devel-announce and might not have moderators around, should we just add you as a moderator? Approving your own posts wouldn't get another set of eyes, but if they are time sensitive it would allow you to post them at least.
Or shall we just close this out and you can ping moderators as needed?
Assuming we have good coverage from moderators I don’t see the need to add me. This can be closed. Thank you
