#8554 EPEL trees on ftp.nluug.nl are weeks out of date
Closed: Fixed by adrian. Opened by ertzing.

ftp.nluug.nl is listed on the official mirror page as a mirror for EPEL (amongst other things). The actual content on the mirror is very out of date:

http://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora-epel/8/Everything/x86_64/repodata/

At the time of creation of this ticket all files in that directory have a last modified date of Oct 29 2019.

I have not checked other content on the mirror.

Please check that the mirror is either up to date, or isn't shown on the mirror list.

Mirror has been disabled, it will take about an hour to be removed from the list.

Have you actually been re-directed to the mirror using a metalink? Because the list of official mirrors is not very accurate. Metalink redirection happens at another level and also works differently.

The main problem, as seen with other mirrors, is again report_mirror overwriting the results from the mirror. I have a PR prepared to disable report_mirror for non-private mirrors and errors like this should no longer happen. Probably 'soon'.

"overwriting the results from the mirror crawler"

I was not redirected to this mirror through a metalink, at least not knowingly. I manually picked that mirror to run a local rsync clone from.

Thanks for the quick response!
