I need to change default assignee of sssd package to sssd-maintainers group.

It is already set at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/sssd but it does not work, since mzidek is still the default assignee (even though I am shown as a maintainer).

Checking the logs, the sync fails because @mzidek is an admin of the project but their FAS email does not correspond with a valid bugzilla account.

So @mzidek could you create a bugzilla account for the email address you've set in FAS?

I pinged @mzidek today on IRC to bring his attention.

Sorry, I missed the email notification. I changed the FAS email to be the same as my BZ email.

Check the logs of the last run the sync seems to have succeeded.
