I was trying to use the AWS-provided Fedora 33 AMI, but I get "User: arn:aws:sts::REDACTED(not sure if it is private):assumed-role/aws-infra/nb is not authorized to perform: aws-marketplace:ViewSubscriptions on resource: *"
@nb can you confirm you were using one of the AMIs listed here https://alt.fedoraproject.org/en/cloud/
I just tried to launch one under the aws-infra assumed role and could launch successfully

That looks like you don't have subscription permissions for Marketplace. It's an "all or nothing" style IAM permission https://docs.aws.amazon.com/marketplace/latest/userguide/marketplace-management-portal-user-access.html

@mobrien I was not. I was trying to use the Fedora 33 that is in the Marketplace now. Since I couldn't do that, I got the AMI from https://alt.fedoraproject.org/en/cloud/ and launched it.

We have that set on purpose to avoid incurring charges from marketplace images. The official ones should always work. I'm going to close this for now. Let me know if you need anything further.
