#9933 Bodhi update in production
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by kevin. Opened 3 years ago by kevin.

We would like to get the latest bodhi updated in prod.

Upstream released 5.7.0 (thanks @ryanlerch ) and staging has been updated to it as well, so it would be nice to roll to prod soon.

Also, bodhi-backend01 is fedora 32, as well as the openshift containers. It would be good to move those to fedora 34 or ubi8

So, items needed:

  • f34 rpm for bodhi (or epel8)
  • testing staging with f34/epel8 images and bodhi-backend01 updated.
  • Schedule prod outage time
  • Roll new version to prod (with upgrading/reinstalling the bodhi-backend01 vm).
  • Making sure updates pushes and the like work as expected.

We talked about this in the stand-up, @asaleh is interested in the deployment. What about testing in staging tomorrow? I have built the f34 version.

Tomorrow sounds fine to test/update bodhi-backend01.stg... go for it!

(either you can 'dnf --releasever 34 distro-sync' on it to upgrade it to f34, or adjust the host_vars/ of it and reinstall).

For prod, I think we need to schedule a outage at least a few days ahead. Sometime next week?

I managed to update bodhi-backend and the openshift deployment to version 5.7.0 running on f34 on staging.

Thanks @kevin for support.
