What languages do we want to set up initially? (Please see @hhlp's comment below about metrics related to languages).

We have a couple of admins already. We can set these languages up and let users gain trust points to turn mods and so on.

I'll reach out to all the mods and check what languages we have mods for and whether they are happy to help with the new instance too. Irrespective of the traffic each language receives, if we have people who will support the language, we should enable the language. What do you think?

From #144, these are the languages that we can start with where we have community members ready to help out with moderation:

  • English ( @ankursinha) (Set up now).
  • Simplified and traditional Chinese ( @alick)
  • Russian ( @ignatenkobrain )
  • Persian ( @hedayat, @haghighi )
  • Spanish ( @bt0dotninja , @hhlp)
  • Italian ( @frafra, @alciregi )

I will open individual tickets requesting information that is needed to set up these languages and work on them one by one.

Since most Indians do speak English, I am not creating Hindi and Bengali bits for the time being. We can add these later after we've done some research into whether they are needed or not.
