#195 20200403 Welcome-to-Fedora tickets: status check needed
Closed: Fixed by hhlp. Opened by ankursinha.

Hi,

Would anyone have the time to review and ping folks that we've got Welcome-to-Fedora tickets for? You can refer to the previous review, and use @sash713 's script to make it easier.

I would love to do it.

All yours, if you have any queries, please comment here and we'll help out.

The SOP is here:

https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora-join/welcome/welcome/ (similar to the readme there)

In general, given that we're all volunteers and get busy, we give folks as much leeway as possible if they're unresponsive. For folks who've already had 3 status checks and have not been recently active (using the fedora-active-user script), we would tell them that we've not seen activity and we'll have no choice but to close the ticket if we don't get a response in the next 7 days.

Note: the active user script is not mentioned in the SOP, perhaps worth adding?

Yes , we need to add to SOP and add this lines too:

Adding a line like: closing the ticket is only a formal and operational task, then if they like, they can get in touch again with us using the various communication channels.

Closing a ticket is not closing the doors to the community! :-)

+1, we should add all of this great info to the SOP too.

Let's do that after this round of checks is done?

@nasirhm you could have written the report as a comment to this ticket. However it is not a problem. Good job! :thumbsup:

@alciregi Thank You , Next time would keep it in mind, I've had asked there about closing the ticket as inactive which are marked as Progress Check 3 Final

@nasirhm

According to this-> https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora-join/welcome/welcome/

If we don’t get a response in the next 7 days, We would tell his/her that we’ve not seen activity and we’ll have no choice to close the ticket.

Make a reference in the ticket

Closing the ticket is only a formal and operational to ask, then if his/her like, they can get in touch again with us using the various communication channels, Provide in this SOP.

Regards.,

Thanks @hhlp I've pinged all of them, if we don't hear back from them in the next 7 days, we would close the ticket and when they will get in touch again with us using various communication channels, We would reopen their ticket.
