A date and time, in UTC, is required for the session.
A venue is also required:
I'll do the session over video using jitsi as mentioned in the wiki. How do I decide the date/time though?
Since the magazine team needs some time to edit etc. I'll post it 7 days in advance, so from 21st June onward any day is okay but I'm thinking of someday between 23-25 (friday-sunday).
What would be a good time/day so the time zones don't get in the way?
We usually do it at a time that works for EMEA/NA, since a larger proportion of our contributors seem to be from these regions. Perhaps something like 16/17 UTC: 8/9 at the US west coast, and late night in Asia?
Friday perhaps? Folks that work during the week do tend to try and stay away from their computers on the weekends, but then folks may be at work on Friday---there's no way of suiting everyone.
Re: jitsi: does it allow recording of sessions for archival? I haven't checked in a while if it does, or what the set up needs to be. I thought it streams/archives on Youtube, and if that's the case, we should get in touch with the Fedora Youtube account holders to ask them to help us set this up.
I think June 23 Friday 16:00 UTC should be okay.
I'm currently looking into jitsi (the interface is a bit unfamiliar and I think one can't remove the watermark when using the free service hosted on meet.jit.si), also I'm open to using any other service too. I looked at BlueJeans; it is paid, so if one wanted to use it do they use the free plan?
