This looks like a quick fix, I think we just need:

[[consumer_config.group_badges]]
group = "fedora-join"
badge = "welcome-wagon"

to be added to the fm-fedbadges.toml config file(https://pagure.io/fedora-infra/ansible/blob/main/f/roles/openshift-apps/badges/templates/fm-fedbadges.toml#_92).

This may already be in the works and I believe that @abompard was looking into it.

Well, it looks like the badge still isn't being issued but I'm not sure of the problem at this point.

The welcome-wagon badge is now active. I looked into the issue and proved the bug to Aurelian B over on the Matrix Badges channel and he identified and fixed the bug.

I think, I know why. The script looks at FAS group membership. In FAS you are not member of any group. I'm not sure who can make you a member of fedora-join in FAS. You best ask one of the group sponsors. You can look those up in FAS: https://accounts.fedoraproject.org/group/fedora-join/

Sure. Could do. We (or I rather) haven't bothered simply because the FAS group doesn't give anyone any additional access really.
