This is a dependency for reading hardware sensors, not really optional. Also the package is quite small (134KB). source

And with it maybe also ksensors but I will test how that performs.

We will add this to both Fedora and Kinoite

On further examination, it appears system monitor leverages the lm_sensors libraries rather than calling the binaries, so we don't need to do anything here.

Ksensors is archived, so we aren't planning on adding it to the spin.

it is kind of a shame, that this logic prevents the use of many CLI tools. Especially as the sensors command may give more output, can run from a CLI and may be preferred over a GUI
