For "install and forget" machines Kinoite or Silverblue are simply the best. But often a new major release has some bugs in the first weeks. So having an easy upgrade (which is not easy at all in rpm-ostree and not up in the manuals or something) is key, but wait a month until the issues are set.
As I understood, the previous version still gets updates if its not EOL right? So this would seem like a perfect option for me. Manual upgrading of course is always possible, but free choice to break things.
This needs https://github.com/fedora-silverblue/issue-tracker/issues/384 or https://github.com/fedora-silverblue/issue-tracker/issues/348 to be doable.
I'll close this one here as it's tracked there, and not just something for Kinoite.
